Heavy Metal Guitar Lessons

Pretty much the first proper heavy metal band to really go the full-hog were Black Sabbath who defined the genre in 1970 with an awesome b5, heavy riff. Heavy metal has many sub-genres – black, old-school, nu, death, prog – with each category  bringing something new to the table. Modern masters of heavy metal guitar such as John Petrucci are able able to play extremely fast passages that require a great deal of technical work. The two most popular heavy metal bands in the world are probably Iron Maiden and Metallica; two bands who have managed to maintain a global following ever since the 1980′s.
