Palm Muting & Power Chords

To hear an early example of a crunching palm muted-power chord riff  Led Zeppelin’s 1969 classic Communications Breakdown. As heavy metal progressed, amplifiers became more distorted and the riffage became more intense. Amps on, gain up – get ready to bang your head!
